The successful applicant will work on an interdisciplinary project focusing on phosphorous cycling in archaeological caves, with a particular focus on biogenic sources and sediments. The project is nested within the Leibniz Science Campus “Geogenomic Archaeology Campus Tübingen” (GACT). GACT brings together experts from the fields of archaeology, genetics, geosciences, ecology, and microbiology to examine the evolutionary relationship between humans and ecosystem biodiversity through the multidisciplinary analysis of sedimentary archives containing ancient DNA. The candidate will significantly focus their research on the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Swabian Jura.
