The project is nested within the Leibniz Science Campus “Geogenomic Archaeology Campus Tübingen” (GACT). GACT brings together experts from the fields of archaeology, genetics, geosciences, ecology, and microbiology to examine the evolutionary relationship between humans and ecosystem biodiversity through the multidisciplinary analysis of sedimentary cave archives containing ancient DNA. Your tasks: Planning and implementation of palaeogenetic research projects in connection with the research programme of GACT; Working on interdisciplinary projects focusing on the changes in cave communities and demography through time; Developing new panels for targeted enrichemnt of cave spieces; Supporting the generation of new genomic data from sediment samples; Bioinformatic analysis and writing of scientific publications.
