The Department of Early Prehistory and Quaternary Ecology of the University of Tübingen is offering two Ph.D. fellowships in the field of Paleolithic archaeology. The research should be related to the ca. 300,000 years old site complex of Schöningen. The place of research, depending on the research topic, is in Schöningen, Lower Saxony and/or in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg. Additional funds are available for research materials, meetings and publications. Requirements for filling the positions are a master’s degree in Paleolithic archaeology or a related field (e.g. Quaternary ecology, paleoethnology, experimental archaeology, archaeo- and paleogenetics, molecular archaeology, zooarchaeology).
