We seek a highly motivated individual to join the Quest team as Geoarchaeological Technician. As Geoarchaeological Technician, you will: Undertake geoarchaeological fieldwork in rural and urban locations (including busy construction/ demolition sites); Be responsible for the manufacture of thin sections for soil and sediment micromorphological analysis; Undertake laboratory-based geoarchaeological techniques including (but not limited to): sediment descriptions, organic-matter determinations, peat humification, particle size analysis; Support geophysical work through fieldwork and data processing; Undertake geoarchaeological deposit modelling, tabulation of data and preparation of basic reports; Deliver training to students, and on occasions to staff and visitors on a variety of geoarchaeological techniques.
