The Laboratory for Conservation Research and Analysis of the Swiss National Museum is part of the Collection Center. It specializes in the non-destructive or minimally invasive examination of museum objects and cultural assets. FTIR, Raman, and XRF spectrometry are among the analytical methods used. In addition to high-resolution laboratory equipment, portable spectrometers are also available. Analyses are carried out as internal and external services and in connection with research projects. We are looking for a scientist in conservation research with a doctorate in chemistry or materials science or a comparable qualification with specialist knowledge in organic chemistry and FTIR analysis. You will also bring several years of professional experience in the analysis of cultural assets and have experience in the design, coordination, and implementation of interdisciplinary scientific projects.
